I like the design of this sound bar but the sound is not what I expected. It sound like my TV. I need a little more kick so I returned the unit to Sears within 2 weeks of purchase but Sears charge me 15% re-stocking fee even I returned with the original box, and containing all original product packaging and accessories and looked like it had never been opened. . Buyer beware of Sears.

I ordered this item thinking it was a stand alone subwoofer and sound bar center channel speaker, but when it arrive I noticed the words “Home Theater” in large letters on the side. I though huh, thats funny. Then I opened the box and realized my mistake, this is not a subwoofer and sound bar that you can integrate into your already existing receiver, this is a 3.1 channel home theater all in one. You are supposed to plug in your components, DVD, Playstation, DTV, whatever and this one speaker, thats it. You heard me right, it only accomodates one speaker, the one it comes with, there are no other speaker connectors. I rate it a 2 because of the limited usefulness and the 3.1 channel description is just silly. This would be great for a little kid or dorm room maybe. Amazon took it back no problem, but still has not updated the description to make it clear this is a all in one home theater on the cheap.

I set it up per the included instructions. I could not use the optical cable included with the system, so used the red/yellow cables per instructions. It still does not work. Any advice is appreciated

I bought this to get better quality & louder audio than the HDTV provided. It has less volumn than the TV and is not loud enough for my living room (average size room). It is a complete waste of money. I am so disappointed with it I may never buy another Sony product. If the rating system allowed negative stars, that is what I would give it. RUN away from this product!
