  1. I’m sure this model by Tripp Lite is very good at suppressing surges and what nots, but it does very little if any ac line conditioning at all. No noticeable differences were obtained on my television and sat receiver which has some small interference.

I know it is very good product and that’s why I bought it

the only one thing to me is the socket labeling are bad because

when you work on dim lighting conditon and you need flash

light to shine on this unit then you will get the reflection

snd you would not be able to see the lable letter any more

esppecially they using gold color letters!

  3. One thing I don’t like about this model is the absence of a circuit breaker button. Other IsoBars have this feature but Tripp Lite decided to “go cheap” and integrate the circuit breaker into the on/off power switch. I guess they figured no one would notice.

Tripp Lite should have included a template for the mounting holes. Attaching this unit to a vertical surface is hit and miss.

The power cord is stiff and not very flexible but the right-angle plug is a plus.

Unless you really need 10 outlets with coaxial connections I would suggest the ISOTEL 8 ULTRA.

  4. This is a solid piece of construction with 3 indicator lights and works great. I got it becuase on audioholics they suggested it for a home theater with a budget up to $25,000.

All products seem to have good features at a reasonable price, but their customer service is the worst!!! I had 5 different units in my house for computer and home audio use, but I had such a bad experience with filing a claim due to a surge that I threw away all of the units. I replaced them with APS units. So far, no problems. By the way, Tripp Lite customer service does not even have a toll-free phone line. That was my first hint that I was in for a bad experience.
